It wasn't a big surprise when Justin Bieber announced in 2011 that he planned on releasing a Christmas album -- most huge artists do. But it was his announcement that he'd be collaborating with Christmas darling Mariah Carey on the album that really had everyone anxiously awaiting its arrival.

After much hype and secretive-ness last year regarding 'Under the Mistletoe,' Biebs finally dropped his music video for the first single 'Mistletoe,' which ended up being the only official single off of the holiday album.

Despite the success of his solo holiday song, it was Bieber's duet with Carey -- which was a cover of her song 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' -- that really got people talking. Many felt that he shouldn't have touched the classic, and Beliebers thought it was his right to cover it, especially since Carey agreed to appear on it. So. Much. Drama.

Said drama aside, 'Under the Mistletoe' debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. It marked his third consecutive No. 1 album, and Bieber also made history when 'Mistletoe' became the first Christmas album by a male artist to debut at No. 1.
