Beyonce surprised her young fans when she arrived to help celebrate the one-year anniversary of Target's East Harlem location on Thursday in New York City.

In a video clip of the event, kids from the local Boys and Girls Club are shown dancing on stage to the R&B singer's new song 'Countdown.' Then, the unsuspecting children get the shock of their lives when Beyonce walks out and opens her arms to give them a hug.

"I'd like to thank the Boys and Girls Club for coming out," she says. "I hope y'all had fun learning the choreography to 'Countdown' today. I hope you guys enjoy the new album '4.'"

The deluxe version of '4,' which is set to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart, is available exclusively at Target. The singer recently released a commercial for her fourth album, documenting her world travels and explaining how she took time off from the music industry to focus on herself.

“It’s hard to see when you move so fast,” Beyonce says in the ad. “So I left the stage and joined the audience. I didn’t perform, I observed, and what I saw inspired me. And now I’m ready to step back into the light.”
