Evidently, it's not just a group of superhuman teenagers that are morphing in the forthcoming Power Rangers reboot.

Earlier this morning, People and Entertainment Weekly unveiled first looks at actress Elizabeth Banks' take on Rita Repulsa, and at the risk of sounding dramatic, the villain couldn't look any less like the origin character from the popular '90s series. Further, let's just come out say it: She looks like the Batman universe's Poison Ivy.

In the photo above, Banks' blue-eyed Repulsa is decked out in a slithery, menacing green suit complete with gilded birdlike talons and emerald-dyed hair to match. And, as a final touch, she sports an ornamental, neck-encompassing coil that essentially shouts Who needs a functional trachea?

For reference, here is what the original Rita Repulsa looks like:

Rusty red dress, dueling cone hat and witchy scepter: There's no mistaking her (and no trace of green, either).

Here is what Poison Ivy looks like:

SO GREEN.

And while Rita 2.0 might seem completely out of left field, Banks is no less excited to tap into the character's signature evil.

"I've never played a villain before," the actress told People. "It's definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa."

You can say that again.

Banks added that the new Rita will have an existing connection to the Rangers, which is probably for the best since none would have recognized her at first glance.

The new Power Rangers is set to hit theaters in March 2017. Excited to see it?
