Enrique Iglesias learned one of life's most important lessons the hard way during a concert on Saturday (May 30) night: never grab a flying drone with your bare hands.

The Associated Press reports that the 40-year-old Latin pop star managed to slice open his fingers (ouch!) while performing in Tijuana, Mexico. Iglesias reportedly reached out to grab one of the drones flying near the stage, and in the process, badly injured his fingers when the drone sliced his fingers.

The drone was being used as a part of Iglesias' show to take photos of the crowd.

The AP reports that Iglesias was treated for bleeding and was advised to cancel the rest of the show. But the professional that he is, the "Bailamos" singer continued the rest of the night with bandages wrapped around his hand.

"He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show," his reps told the AP in a statement. "He was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to L.A. to see a specialist."

Iglesias will continue his Sex and Love World Tour in Mexico City in July.
