Rising R&B singer Frank Ocean doesn't do many interviews, but he sat down recently with Hot 97 personality Angie Martinez for a chat on her radio show. Odd Future's resident crooner spoke on a number of topics including his anonymity, Odd Future and working with Jay-Z and Kanye West on 'Watch the Throne.'

On him being such a reclusive artist, Ocean seems to revel in being known yet unknown to most people. "It's my personality," he says. It's kind of how it is[sic]. I'm the Dos Equis man. That's kind of cool. I'm just going with the flow."

Although the Los Angeles-based singer is a proud member of Odd Future, he says each member have separate lives outside of the crew. “That’s family," he explains. "It’s a crew, but it’s not like a boy band where we’re like this cohesive thing that moves and does everything together. We’re like a crew of a bunch of different artists who create their own thing and their own wave."

The conversation then segued to his contribution on 'Watch the Throne' and his experience working with Hov and Yeezy. "I rarely do collabs, so that’s just one of the ones you absolutely do," he says. "It’s like a no-brainer. I didn’t really think about any of it. The last thing on my mind was working with artists who I’ve held in high esteem for years."

Finally, Ocean says he has no clue when his debut album will officially be released. “I have no idea," he says. "I just want to make sure the next thing is right and I don’t want to go on the record and say that it’s coming out on some phantom date that never appears."
