Expect to see a lot of Frank Ocean next month as the R&B crooner will make appearances on two major television platforms. First up, NBC has announced that Ocean will be the musical guest on 'Saturday Night Live' when it begins its 38th season on Sept. 15.

Comedian-actor Seth MacFarlane, who created the Fox animated series 'Family Guy,' will be the host of the season opener. This is a major look for the Odd Future crooner who has garnered praise for his debut album 'Channel Orange.'

Ocean's SNL musical stint will be preceded by his debut performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, which is airing live from Los Angeles on Sept. 6 at 8PM ET. Ocean joins a list of performers including just-announced Rihanna, Green Day, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift and Pink. Among the presenters also confirmed are 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and the 2012 gold medal-winning U.S. Women's Olympics Gymnastics Team (aka the "Fierce Five").

The season premiere of 'Saturday Night Live,' featuring Frank Ocean and Seth MacFarlane,' will air on Sept. 15 at 11:30PM ET.
