Since being brutally attacked just two weeks ago, Gavin DeGraw has kept pretty quiet -- and with a broken nose, two black eyes and a mess of bruises and cuts, who can really blame him? But finally, the singer-songwriter has reached out to make a formal statement and let his fans know he's on the mend.

The 'Not Over You' singer told VH1 exclusively:

“Instead of checking in from the tour, I’m writing as I recover at home. I’m feeling much better, but it will take a little bit more time to be back to 100%! I’m overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from my fans, friends, and family. I can’t wait to get back out on tour and look forward to seeing you on the road sometime soon. I’ll keep you POSTED.”

We're elated to hear that DeGraw is getting back to his old self, because he had to pull out of a few high-profile shows with Maroon 5 and Train after the incident. He's scheduled to pick back up on that tour in Columbia, M.D. on Aug. 24.

Additionally, the 'I Don't Want to Be' hitmaker is gearing up to release his brand new album, 'Sweeter,' on Sept. 20. Get well soon, Gav!
