Following much scandal and speculation in the past few weeks leading up to this moment, "Goodbye" — 2NE1's final release as a group — has finally arrived. (It's January 21 in South Korea.)

The stripped back, guitar-led track is as heartbreaking as one might have anticipated from a CL-penned farewell to the troupe.

"Does anyone know? Does anyone know how it makes me feel?" the girls take turns crooning in English.

The video is equally devastating, as CL, Dara and Bom sadly sit amid flowers and candles and glimpse at grainy home footage of the group at their peak playing against the walls, ending off with a split-second glimpse of the trio (sans Minzy) lying in bed together before fading to black.

“Goodbye” was co-produced by J Gramm (Travis Scott, DJ Mustard) and K. “Rook Monroe” Watkins, who also co-wrote Rihanna‘s ANTI anthem “Desperado” and Kid Ink’s “Nasty.” CL wrote the song “as an outlet for the leader’s feelings of regret about the end of 2NE1.”

As previously reported, Minzy — who left the group to pursue a solo career last year — had no idea it was even coming out.

Watch above, and say goodbye.
