Instagram Influencer Ekaterina Karaglanova, 24, Found Dead in Suitcase
Russian social media personality Ekaterina Karaglanova was found dead inside a suitcase at her apartment on Friday (July 26).
BBC News reported that her parents contacted her landlord after not receiving any communication from her for a number of days. Once inside her apartment, they found her body stuffed in a suitcase in her hallway. According to the news outlet, cut and stab wounds were found along her neck and chest area.
CNN reported that Russian police have made an arrest in her horrific murder.
"As a result of operational search activities, the police officers at the Moscow Directorate of the MVD of Russia in Moscow established the location and arrested the suspect in the murder of a female social media personality in the apartment of a residential building on Pyryeva Street," Irina Volk, the official spokesperson for the MVD, told CNN. "He has now been brought in for questioning."
Karaglanova had a birthday trip planned on July 30 to fly to the Netherlands. Her last Instagram post was just four days before her death where she shared her love of travel and her recent trip to Corfu.
Karaglanova was known for her lifestyle Instagram page, having over 97,000 followers. Karaglanova was a runner-up for Miss. Moscow and a medical school graduate.
