Thing Named After Jay-Z: Georgetown's Sociology 124 aka 'Sociology of Hip-Hop — Urban Theodicy of Jay-Z' -- a social science course offered to Georgetown students on everything Jay-Z

If we were to guess what discipline a course on Jay-Z would be taught in, our guess would be something like Entrepreneurship. After all, HOV is not a businessman. He's a business, man! But, Georgetown University sees things differently.

Instead, the institute offers up a whole entire Sociology class examining Jigga Man in the scope of race, gender, ethnicity, class and more. As the professor of the class, Michael Eric Dyson, explains, "This is not a class meant to sit around and go, ‘Oh man, those lyrics were dope.'" If you want to get schooled on Jay-Z, you better bring your thinking cap!

Jay's wifey also has a class about her at Rutgers University titled 'Politicizing Beyonce' -- how many married couples can say they are they subjects of two different curricula? Not many!
