Kanye West reportedly is set to debut a 30-minute film at the annual Cannes Film Festival in May. But there's one small problem -- he hasn't begun filming it yet. Apparently, Yeezy is taking his sweet time on the top-secret project, which, according to a source, is how he likes to operate.

"He hasn’t even started the film yet,” an insider told the New York Daily News. “That's just the way Kanye does things. He is already talking to the right people to make sure it happens with short notice."

Talk about short notice. Kanye has about a month to complete the project if he wants to show it at the Cannes Film Festival, which starts on May 16 and runs through May 27. So he's cutting it really close.

As for the film, which is not part of Cannes' screening schedule, no one seems to know what it's about. However, Kanye is supposedly writing, directing, producing and scoring the flick, which may star G.O.O.D. Music artist and actor Kid Cudi.

“He’s going all out,” said the source. Furthermore, Kanye plans to lease an outdoor venue and show his film on seven screens. WTF?

The reporting on this story is questionable to say the least. It's not like Kanye to be so lackadaisical when it comes to his music or film projects.

However, he may be preoccupied at the moment with Kim Kardashian. Just recently, Kanye finally met Kimmy K's parents. The verdict? They loved him!

So, it's safe to say, that Kanye is little busy right now.
