Kelly Rowland has certainly stepped out of Beyonce's huge chart-topping shadows with her recent hit 'Motivation' featuring Lil Wayne. Now all eyes are on the R&B diva as she prepares to release her new album 'Here I Am' on July 26. However, the question remains -- can Rowland reach the same level of success as her fellow Destiny Child frontwoman? We shall see.

In the meantime, this new track called 'Free Fall' leaked onto the Internet without any warning. The song will not appear on 'Here I Am' so as to why this leaked is anyone's guess. PopCrush can only assume that this Euro-dance number wouldn't fit on her mostly R&B-driven album.

'Free Fall' is not a bad song and it could possibly do well overseas. The track features K. Rowl singing about finding a new love. The songbird is so confident in her man that she's willing to jump out of a plane without a parachute (metaphorically) and "free fall into his heart" because she knows "he will catch her." Good luck with that.

The song might turn off a few people who prefer Rowland's seductive vocals heard on 'Motivation.' But if Rowland wants to expand her musical palette, she should look first before she "free falls" into another genre. Stay in your lane, Rowland, stay in your lane.
