At the June 27, 2012, Melbourne stop of the Born This Way Ball tour, Lady Gaga debuted her new track 'Princess Die,' a piano ballad that semi-pays homage to Princess Diana, the late royal who was beloved in England.

At the time, Gaga said she wasn't sure that the song would appear on her next album, which we now know is 'ARTPOP' and she recently reaffirmed that it's likely not going to make the final cut. But she had to share it live, which makes it equally as worthy as an album track

We're glad she did share it, since it's an aching, lilting and powerful slab of music that holds a lot of personal meaning for Ma Monster.
