Lady Gaga in Drag

While most of the people on this list aren't really serious with their drag, usually playing dress up for a laugh or something, it's the exact opposite with Lady Gaga.

In the depths of her never-ending creativity, Mother Monster concocted a male alter ego named Jo Calderone, who made his public debut at the 2011 VMAs. Appearing during the opening portion of the show, the foul-mouthed, whiskey-guzzling, Greaser-styled Jo gave a long, energetic monologue about his lady love Gaga, and people weren't quite sure how to react. Many felt it was a big step for the LGBT community, while some felt it was a gimmick for attention.

Either way, Jo keeps popping up, most notably in Lady Gaga's video for 'You and I,' which also co-stars her real-life BF Taylor Kinney.
