Update, 11/20: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and a horde of talented backup dancers absolutely nailed the choreography in Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" video (a current contender in our Greatest Pop Video poll) in his Lip Sync Battle round against Anthony Mackie. Gordon-Levitt always fully commits to a musical performance, but his steps here are so on point it's almost uncanny. Watch the performance, along with Mackie and LL Cool J's stunned reactions, above.

Is crossing names of your gift-giving list proving to be a pain in the ass this year? Why not offer the present of Joseph Gordon-Levitt miming the words to Usher's 2004 "Yeah!" from Confessions? It certainly beats a Starbucks gift certificate.

Gordon-Levitt, who will play Edward Snowden in next year's Snowden, is gearing up to face off against Anthony Mackie in a special holiday edition of Spike's Lip Sync Battle tomorrow (November 19). It's not Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree or Silver Bells that JGL will tackle, though—it's one of the early aughts' biggest dance hits.

In the sneak peek above, and with the wild abandon generally reserved for Everest Sherpas, the 500 Days of Summer star silently tears through the song that topped the Billboard Top 100 for 12 weeks. LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen seem to be especially impressed, but Seth Rogen, who sports a Santa costume, is more so.

"The view from back here was particularly dope," Rogen, who's sprawled out across a bench, observes. And you thought Billy Bob Thornton made for a Bad Santa.

The show, which has featured the likes of Justin Bieber, Iggy Azalea and Anne Hathaway will return for a second season in January. Terrence Howard beat out Empire co-star Taraji P. Henson to claim the first season's final title.

Check out JGL's take on "Yeah!" and be sure to tune in to the Lip Sync Battle one-hour holiday special tomorrow at 10 PM EST on Spike.
