Casual music fans probably know Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino from their MTV Video Music Award-winning ‘Lessons Learned’ video, in which the duo stripped naked in the middle of Times Square, but Matt and Kim had already built up a rabid following before that due to constant touring.

Though their music consists of three-minute pop songs constructed only from keyboards and drums, they bring a punk rock energy to their live shows, which is why you’re likely to see crowd surfing and moshing during their Ultra performance.

Matt and Kim are festival veterans who have toured with Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance, and their most recent effort, 'Lightning,' was another collection of catchy party songs.

Johnson says, "We want to keep our shows as much fun as possible and I think that’s what they’ve always been about. I mean even when we’re in our worst mood that day – like if we had a six a.m. flight and the hours were crazy – we still want to have a party."
