Nick Gordon Reportedly Checked into Rehab Following Dr. Phil Intervention

Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon has reportedly checked into rehab for drug abuse after an intervention by Dr. Phil. According to TMZ, the decision came soon after Gordon went on a suicidal rant. This year hasn't been too kind on Gordon or Bobbi Kristina, who is still in a medical induced coma at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

According to US Weekly, the 25-year-old and his mother Michelle joined Dr. Phil in an emotionally charged discussion that will air next week. In the episode, Gordon allegedly opens up about when he found Bobbi Kristina, who is the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, facedown in her bathtub. Gordon reportedly will also discuss his depression and drug abuse issues.

The Brown family allegedly shut Gordon out since Bobbi Kristina's hospitalization. Gordon took to social media to express his frustration with Bobby Brown, but also posted affectionately about Bobbi Kristina. On her birthday (March 3), he tweeted "Happy Birthday baby I wish I was there with you to hold you and be by your side." Check out the tweet below.

Gordon also posted a photo of him watching The Hobbit on Twitter, which is apparently one of their favorite movies. Earlier that day he tweeted, "I'm so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to strong." The tweet appears to reflect Gordon's mental turmoil.

The information surrounding Gordon's treatment hasn't been released, aside from the fact that he will check into rehab. Us Weekly reports that Gordon's mother told Dr. Phil, "As we sit here right now, my son's life hangs in the balance." The emotionally packed episode is bound to give us a little insight into the lives Gordon and Bobbi Kristina before her accident on Jan. 31.
