Season 12 of 'American Idol' was filled with drama, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the contestants on the show.

On a fateful day in the fall of 2012, video surfaced of Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj getting into it on the set of 'Idol,' with Minaj throwing down some pretty curse-laden phrases. It got so heated, that filming had to be suspended for the day in hopes to quell the ladies' ire. Except that it didn't. At all. Mariah told Barbara Walters she didn't feel safe around Nicki Minaj and also alleged that the Harajuku Barbie threatened her... with a gun.

Finally, it all came to a head at the end of the season when Nicki lashed out on Twitter, calling Carey "insecure" and "bitter" after Mariah just so happened to mention the rapper had never had a No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. Why do we have a sinking suspicion that this tiff will never get resolved?

Point Goes To: No one. Nicki and Mariah damaged their reputations and may have single handedly destroyed the 'American Idol' empire in the process.
