Pia Toscano to Perform on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Getting voted off off 'American Idol' has turned out to be the best thing that could happen to aspiring singer Pia Toscano's career. Toscano is set to perform on another megawatt reality show next week. That's right, the raven-haired beauty will perform on 'Dancing With the Stars' alongside professional dancer (and her rumored boyfriend) Mark Ballas! The news was announced on last night's elimination episode of the hot-footed series!

However, Ballas himself was surprised by the revelation that Toscano would be making an appearance on the show. "I just got told after Tom [Bergeron] announced it. We aren't allowed to know stuff like that," Ballas said to a throng of reporters, post-results.

PEOPLE reports that Ballas said, "I can't tell you the song, but it will probably be something slow and romantic," which is what Toscano specialized in during her time on the show. Ballas will dance with fellow professional dancer Karina Smirnoff while Toscano sings. "Pia ... Will be amazing," Ballas said in anticipation. "She is a ridiculously amazing vocalist." We agree, but can't help but wonder if she is an equally amazing gal pal!

If Toscano and Ballas are indeed dating, let's hope Toscano doesn't get jealous that her man is dancing with another lady. The pair was spotted as recently as this past Monday, when Toscano attended Ballas's concert at The Mint in Los Angeles. Perhaps Toscano really digs Ballas because his last name is so similar to those "ballads" she loves to sing!
