This just in: R. Kelly has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

TMZ reports the R&B singer was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Cook County, Illinois, on Friday (Feb. 22), with sources saying prosecutors will appear before a judge to seek a warrant for his arrest.

The charges follow the investigation into the alleged VHS sex tape lawyer Michael Avenatti gave the police authorities earlier this month, which reportedly shows Kelly having sex with an underage girl. According to people who have seen the tape, the girl refers to her body parts as 14 years old.

Avenatti, who is working on the ongoing investigation, then tweeted a statement saying he had unearthed a third video: “We have become aware of the existence of a third tape, that allegedly shows further acts of sexual abuse of an underage girl by R Kelly, which we are presently working to recover and turn over to law enforcement."

Though Kelly has continued to deny the allegations, the evidence against him is finally piling up. Earlier this year, Lifetime released the docu-series Surviving R. Kelly, which features interviews with dozens of women who claim they were involved in an abusive sexual relationship with the singer.
