The cast of Riverdale teased fans with details about the upcoming season of the show.

Season 3 left fans on a cliffhanger and made fans worry that Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), died. Sprouse quickly squashed the speculation that he would be leaving the show. "No I signed a big long contract," Sprouse told IMDB. Sprouse also said that he was originally in the scene where Jughead's beanie is being burned.

The cast revealed that the next season of the show will focus on the Riverdale High students' senior year with the not-so-typical twists and shocks. At the beginning of the season, Mendes revealed that fans will find Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) applying for college.

The first episode of the fourth season will tribute and focus on the death of Fred Andrews (Luke Perry). "His [Archie Andrew] storyline in season four is honoring his father's legacy," KJ Apa told ET. There will also be moments throughout the season where they will honor the character of Fred and the life of Perry.

Season 4 of Riverdale will debut on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 8 PM ET on the CW.
