Well this is a great plot twist in the entertainment industry.

With the news of Disney pulling out their own productions from Netflix within the incoming year, award-winning producer Shonda Rhimes adds on to the blow by signing an exclusive deal with the streaming service.

According to Deadline, Rhimes, 47, will be leaving ABC Studios for Netflix but will continue to work on her Shondaland-produced shows, such as How To Get Away With MurderScandal, Grey's Anatomy and a spin-off on the hit drama

“Shonda Rhimes is one of the greatest storytellers in the history of television,” said Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos in a statement. “Her work is gripping, inventive, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping, taboo-breaking television at its best. I’ve gotten the chance to know Shonda and she’s a true Netflixer at heart — she loves TV and films, she cares passionately about her work, and she delivers for her audience. We’re so excited to welcome her to Netflix.”

So it looks like, more heart-warming, tear-jerking and thrill-seeking productions are coming to a Netflix-installed device near you. Meaning, no longer will we have to wait another week for a new episode, Shondaland's now officially part of the binge culture.
