Skrillex and Disney don't seem like a natural pairing, but maybe that's why this collaboration sounds so exciting. The dubstep-influenced DJ has announced he will write music for the upcoming Disney Animation film 'Wreck-It Ralph,' according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The news was revealed at Comic-Con, where the film's director, Rich Moore, called Skrillex "one of my favorite performers." Moore gave attendees a 10-minute preview of the movie, which is based on vintage video games and includes characters from Super Mario Bros., Paperboy, Pac-Man, Q-bert, Mortal Kombat and Sonic the Hedgehog. John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman and Jane Lynch are among the actors providing voices for the animated characters.

Skrillex hasn't revealed how many songs he'll be recording for 'Wreck-It Ralph' or what the music will sound like, but he has shown a willingness to change his style to fit film projects. He said that his score for the upcoming Selena Gomez movie 'Spring Breakers' will be "more or less traditional scoring...don't expect dance floor bangers!"

The EDM star has exploded over the past year, winning three Grammy Awards in February on the strength of his 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites' EP. 'Wreck-It Ralph' is expected to hit theaters in November.
