On tonight's elimination episode of 'The Voice,' Cee Lo Green wrote a poem for his final team members Nakia and Vicci Martinez. He read it to them, calling them the two brightest stars in the universe tonight and said "Red 'til I'm dead" since he calls his team "Team Red." He said that no matter what happened, he would always be a phone call away for both of them. Yeah, we know, we got choked up, too.

Cee Lo awarded 51 points to Nakia, and gave 49 points to Martinez. He said. "From where I was sitting, both of you guys gave stellar performances," but the drums on Martinez's performance of Florence + the Machine's 'Dog Days Are Over' overwhelmed him where he was sitting. When he listened to the clip post-performance, he changes his mind and thought it was a dead heat. Spoken like a father with two children.

America chose Martinez, effectively ending Nakia's journey. Nakia was the "brave individual" who offered his rendition of Cee Lo's 'Forget You' and we enjoyed his big, bold voice and his suits-with-sneakers ensembles.

Martinez, whose father abandoned his musical career in order to raise his family, will carry the torch for Team Cee Lo into next week's finals. She will pick up where her father left off.

Cee Lo also performed tonight, giving us a live taste of 'Bright Lights, Bigger City.' He was dressed in a white tux and with a finger-wave wig. It was epic, like the coach himself and while Cee Lo is known for attention-getting, flamboyant performances, when he hit the high note at the end of the song, it was glorious. Even he knew it, flashing an ear-to-ear grin.
