Zedd – Artist to Watch in 2013

Many pop music fans probably first heard the name Zedd when he created a dark dance remix of Lady Gaga's 'Marry the Night.' Or maybe when he co-produced Justin Bieber's 'Beauty and a Beat.'

Now the German DJ and house music producer born Anton Zaslavski is starting to attract more attention for his own music. His 2012 Interscope release 'Clarity' hit No. 3 on the Dance Albums chart. The single 'Spectrum' was a big club hit, and he just issued a music video for the title track, which he co-wrote with Skylar Grey and fellow EDM star Porter Robinson.

Zedd makes an effort not to get boxed into any specific song style. "I don't care if the songs are hard or soft, if they have vocals or they don't, or if they're three minutes or 10 minutes," he says. "I don't care about anything but making good music."

Zedd has performed at Lollapalooza, South by Southwest, the Ultra Music Festival, and many other high-profile events. Expect that trend to continue as his star continues to shine brighter throughout 2013 and beyond.
