The point of SXSW is to have fun, isn't it? Bringing your BFF is one way to not only guarantee a good time, but also a good way to stay safe.

If you get lost (or in the slim chance come across someone shady), having someone to hang out, travel, figure a schedule and plan of action with makes everything easier and more enjoyable. And even though SXSW is action packed and barely gives you a moment to breathe, you'll still appreciate someone to chat up and mingle among the crowds with during waiting periods and downtime.
