When the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami hit Japan a few days ago, most celebs took to Twitter to voice their sadness and concern for the people affected.

However, not all celebrities were so empathetic towards the victims, especially rapper 50 Cent. The rapper turned actor has been criticized by the public for cracking jokes about the devastating natural disaster on his official Twitter page.

50 Cent began composing his insensitive remarks on March 12, writing, "Wave will hit 8am them crazy white boys gonna try to go surfing." He then went on to say, "Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my hoe's from LA, Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol."

He continued his mean streak throughout most of the day. 50 tweeted, "Its all good Till b------ see there christian louboutins floating down da street s--- gone get crazy." Seriously, is anyone actually laughing with you, 50? Because we certainly aren't.

Later that day, 50 must have realized he put his foot in his mouth after receiving a huge amount of backlash from the public. The 'In Da Club' rapper wrote, "Nah this is nuts but what can anyone do about it. Let's pray for anyone who has lost someone." The rapper then followed up the tweet with a short explanation behind his comments. He said, "Some of my tweets are ignorant I do it for shock value. Hate it or love it. I'm cool either way 50cent."

Here's some advice, 50. Next time you want to shock people, go to the Grammy's in a giant egg like Lady Gaga or have a public make out session like Kesha. Don't joke about something that has just killed thousands and left many homeless and emotionally broken.
