The fabulously flamboyant Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert will return to the familiar territory that is the 'American Idol' stage next week. Lambert will perform an acoustic version of his song 'Aftermath' on the Mar. 10 episode of the show.

A remix crafted by Billboard will available immediately after the performance here. The proceeds from the song will benefit The Trevor Project, which is the leading national organization focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

"Billboard turns the song into a fresh new dance pop anthem to blast on the radio and in the clubs," Lambert declared in a statement. "['Aftermath'] was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you. It's about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners. I hope this song inspires people to be who they truly want to be ... And dance!"

The album version of 'Aftermath' appears on Lambert's 'For Your Entertainment.' It also appears on his 'Acoustic Live!' EP and his 'Glam Nation Live' CD/DVD combo, which is due out Mar. 22.

Be sure and tune in next Thursday to see the gloriously glammy Lambert return to his old stomping grounds on 'Idol.'
