Even though Amy Winehouse has passed on, her music is still making a huge impact on society, especially in her homeland. Her 2007 Grammy-winning album 'Back to Black' has become the highest-selling album in the UK of the 21st century.

According to a report (via Washington Post) from the Britiain's Official Charts Company, 'Back to Black' has been named the best-selling album in the UK of this century. Winehouse's critically-acclaimed album, which features her hits 'Rehab' and 'You Know I'm No Good,' surpassed the record that was formerly held by James Blunt for his 2005 debut LP 'Back to Bedlam.'

After Amy Winehouse was pronounced dead last month, 'Back to Black' quickly earned the No. 1 spot on the album charts in the UK. People were saddened and shocked by her untimely death since the world lost such a great talent, and the news caused many fans to go out and purchase her music in order to celebrate the soulful songstress' musical career.

There will be a tribute to Amy Winehouse at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday, Aug. 28. The results of a toxicology test recently concluded that there were no drugs in Winehouse's system at the time of her death, however, it was reported that alcohol was present.
