Aretha Franklin canceled her performance at the funeral of her goddaughter, Whitney Houston, yesterday. While Franklin's rep told CNN the Queen of Soul had fallen ill, Franklin was well enough to perform at Radio City Music Hall later that same night.Leg spasms were the cause of Franklin's cancellation, according to TMZ. Franklin released a statement saying that her "heart goes out to my dear friend Cissy, Dionne, Bobbi Kristina and the rest of the family. May God keep them all." Franklin did sing a tribute to Houston on Friday (Feb. 17) at Radio City Music Hall the night before her memorial ceremony.

While we're sure Franklin was missed, the funeral was a star-studded yet somber affair nonetheless. Moving speeches from Tyler Perry and Kevin Costner, as well as riveting performances from R. Kelly, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder all moved audiences. The funeral, held at Houston's childhood New Hope Baptist Church, was invitation-only but streamed online and aired on CNN for fans.

Houston was buried today, Feb. 19, at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J. in a private, family-only ceremony. May she rest in peace.
