Rapper Azealia Banks was reportedly arrested and charged with third degree assault following an altercation that took place at New York City club Up & Down last night (December 16).

According to the New York Post, Banks allegedly attacked a security guard working at the club. The site reports that she was arrested after punching a female bouncer and “biting her in the boob.” She was later released on her own recognizance.

The Post goes on to say that Banks attended a private party at the club and was booted after getting into a dispute with the bouncer around 12:30AM. According to a witness, Banks reportedly showed up to the party with an invited guest: “It was an invite-only party. You needed a stamp to get in.”

The altercation allegedly broke out after Banks was reportedly asked to get a stamp upstairs.

A source said, “There was a female security guard and a male guard,” and noted that they “didn’t recognize Banks," so Banks reportedly started “screaming at the top of her lungs, cursing.”

A club owner reportedly noticed the scuffle and “gave her a pass to let her in” but “once [Banks] was 15 feet inside, she starts to curse at the guards again, explaining who she was, that she’s on Rihanna’s album.”

Banks then allegedly “spit in the [female bouncer’s] face,” and as they escorted her off the premises she reportedly “bites the [female guard] in the breast, almost breaking her shirt…as they took her out."

This event comes just a month after Banks reportedly attacked a security guard at Los Angeles club Break Room 36. And just a few months before that, Banks was filmed calling a Delta flight attendant a “f—king f—got” after reportedly also spitting on and punching a French passenger she said attacked her.
