Azealia Banks Claims She Was Drugged, Sexually Assaulted in Since-Deleted Instagram Stories
New York rapper Azealia Banks alleges she was roofied and raped over the weekend.
In a series of since-deleted audio recordings shared via Instagram, the "212" emcee made a frightful confession that she was recently drugged and sexually assaulted. Audio recordings of her story, which have suddenly been removed on Banks' Instagram page last night (April 14), have since been extracted and reanimated on YouTube.
“I just feel so dirty and stupid right now, you know? We were just hanging out and one thing led to another,” the 26-year-old performer can be heard saying in the video in a low and trembling tone. “I just feel really dumb, because it was partially my fault…and I’m just, like, sitting here, like, feeling f--king low and sh-t…I just want to f--king disappear right now.”
You can listen to a compilation of Azealia Banks' testimony, below.
"I don't think I can put out any more music right now," Banks continued, near tears at this point in her statement. "I gotta just, like, take some time and, like, figure out what just happened."
In another clip, Banks, who claims she couldn't "even think about moving" or "do anything" and that her friends weren't answering her calls, begins to urge her followers to contact her friends and management reps to help get her back home safely.
“Men can just prey on you and f--king, like, badger you, force you to say yes," the "1991" star continued. "You never wanted to do sh-t…someone really just got the f--king best of me.”
Banks appended: “What is even in a roofie? I’ve never felt that type of intoxication in my life. I woke up my throat was in pins and needles."
Moments later, the "Anna Wintour" performer returned to Instagram with yet another message — this time assuring fans that she was in the good care of her closed ones and doing better: "It’s under control now my brothers and friends are here. I’m going to be fine don’t panic guys. I love you. I def got drugged in my drink but I’m waking up again.”
At no point in the audio does the Coco actress name her alleged assailant, and particulars of her reported assault are spare.
According to Page Six, Banks has not yet filed a police report nor has her team answered the pub's inquiry for comment on the incident.
