'American Idol' said goodbye to Deandre Brackensick tonight.

The 17-year-old curly cued falsetto singer was eliminated after a tumultuous run on the show, in which his stellar voice and unique look resonated more with judges than with voters, who placed him in the bottom three, much to the chagrin of the panel. The judges even said aloud that it wasn't right!

Brackensick sang Stevie Wonder's 'Master Blaster' for his life, but it was clear from the look in his (gorgeous) eyes at the conclusion of his performance that he knew his fate before it was announced. Even his little sister was sobbing in the audience!

"I only get one vote," Jennifer Lopez said. "I'm sorry, we're not saving you tonight." When host Ryan Seacrest asked Lopez if that meant she voted to save him and her fellow judges, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, didn't, she nodded sheepishly. "Yes, that's what I mean!"

Brackensick was visibly sad but trying to maintain composure. "'American Idol' is and always will be the highlight of my life," he said, pulling his trademark mane into a ponytail.

We're sorry to see Brackensick go, but we're confident this isn't the last we'll hear of that marvelous voice.
