DJ Mehdi Dead at 34: Stars React on Twitter

Electro hip-hop producer DJ Mehdi died tragically today at his Paris home. He was 34. DJ Mag reported that Mehdi was celebrating with fellow musician and DJ Riton, on a mezzanine atop his home, when it collapsed. Three others were injured in the freak accident, though reports are saying Riton was the only person not to have fallen through the roof. Mehdi's record company (Ed Banger Records) will be making a statement today to clarify what happened. DJ Mehdi launched a project with Riton in 2010, but has also collaborated with such notable acts as Daft Punk, Chromeo and Miike Snow. Stars including Drake, Solange Knowles and Mayer Hawthorne all tweeted their grief over the sudden passing of a talented and well-loved producer and DJ.
