Fall Out Boy were at the forefront of the pop-punk scene in their heyday -- and the Chi-town natives are back there now that they've reconvened for 'Save Rock And Roll.'

Bassist and lyricist Pete Wentz and guitarist Joe Trohman formed Fall Out Boy in late 2001. After tinkering around in a few Chicago area hardcore bands, they were soon joined by singer and composer Patrick Stump and drummer Andy Hurley. The group released 'Take This to Your Grave' on Fueled By Ramen in 2003, achieving moderate success and allowing them opportunities to open for bands like Taking Back Sunday and Blink-182.

Their breakout came with 2005's 'From Under the Cork Tree,' supported by smash singles 'Sugar, We're Goin' Down' and 'Dance Dance.' The band followed up with the No. 1-debuting 'Infinity on High,' bolstered by 'This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race' -- which featured none other than Kim Kardashian in the video -- and 'Thnks fr th Mmrs.'

In late 2008, the group released 'Folie a Deux,' which didn't garner quite as much sales or airplay as their previous efforts. A a greatest hits compilation came next in 2009, leading fans to believe their "indefinite hiatus" was a breakup. However, when solo and side projects fizzled out, the band got back together in early 2013 despite insisting they never officially split.

Fall Out Boy released 'Save Rock And Roll,' featuring lead single 'My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light 'Em Up),' on April 16.
