Fifth Harmony Slay ‘Worth It’ on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Finale
Fifth Harmony brought "Worth It" to the Dancing With the Stars last night, making the season finale extra special for Harmonizers. This rendition was slightly shorter than the sax-y Reflections album version, but what they lacked in song duration they made up for in excellent DTWS backup dancers (seriously, there were eight backup dancers, outnumbering the girls themselves by three).
Dressed in all black, Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, Camila and Lauren took command of the stage and nearly made us forget that we were technically watching the show to find out who Season 20's winner was (spoiler alert, if you're saving it on DVR and avoiding all social media: Rumer Willis and pro dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy took home the mirror ball trophy). The cheers and screams from the audience nearly drowned the girls out at times, but they assisted 5H and the dancers with crucial hand-claps when "Uh huh, see me in the spot like / 'Ooh I love your style'" came in.
Fifth Harmony fans have been badly wanting to see "Worth It" live on TV since the group canceled their scheduled performance at the Billboard Music Awards last Sunday (May 17), briefly presenting instead. The group responded to fans' disappointment on Twitter that evening, saying "To all our fans who've been campaigning for a performance tonight we hear you! We're just presenting tonight but we'll see you on Tuesday!"
The group further explained the last-minute change on their Tumblr, saying "Because we didn’t get to do a rehearsal in the arena until the day of the show, and with the nature of the production of this song, we didn’t feel happy with how it sounded. You know we strive for perfection so after a conversation with our team, we all decided it was best to wait for a moment to showcase Worth It at its best." As promised, Tuesday night was that moment.
