Though he was a little out of place, 'Not Over You' singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw dazzled the country music audience at CMT's 'Artists of the Year' event with a special tribute to the bald-but-beautiful Kenny Chesney, performing Chesney's own hit, 'Somewhere With You.'

Of course, being that he was out of his element, DeGraw gave the country track a pop twist and his own unique soul flavor, which made the song like a different work of art. The 'Chariot' hitmaker had the honor of the first performance during the hour-and-a-half-long pre-taped special, and was followed by a slew of country performances by Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans and even pop/country crossover Taylor Swift, who was honored as one of this year's top artists.

Gavin's appearance wasn't totally out of place, however. Kenny Chesney's most recent single 'You and Tequila' is a collaborative effort with pop-rocking diva Grace Potter, so the cowboy hat-sporting crooner has blended the waters that separate the two genres at least once before.
