The Goo Goo Dolls are going to London. The band will provide the pre-game entertainment for the NFL game between the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 23.

The Goo's international gig was announced today via press release. The football game is the fifth regular-season contest played in London as part of the NFL's Pepsi Max International Series. Don't be surprised if the band performs 'Iris,' the 1998 hit that is back in the U.K. Top 10 after a contestant covered the song on the British 'X Factor.'

The John Rzeznik-fronted trio had to reschedule two shows to make the NFL concert happen. Concerts in New Hampshire and Connecticut planned for the weekend of Oct. 22 will now take place in mid-November, at the end of the band's current U.S. theater tour.

Goo Goo Dolls' latest release, 'Something for the Rest of Us,' hit the Top 10 in the U.S. Rzeznik says the group is "halfway done" with the more up-tempo follow-up album. The Goos also placed a song on the latest 'Transformers' soundtrack.
