The monster of all old-school videos, and still one of the best music videos ever made, Michael Jackson's 1983 epic 'Thriller' is one of the most influential works of the past 30 years. Countless pop stars have copied the Halloween video's terrific dance sequence -- so did a bunch of guys in a Philippines prison in a wildly popular 2007 viral video. It's even part of the Library of Congress' National Film Registry.

Directed by John Landis -- who made the horror flick 'An American Werewolf in London' -- the nearly 14-minute video starts with a ho-hum story about the King of Pop driving his girl home from a date. Then a full moon appears and all hell breaks loose as Jackson transforms into a terrifying beast and leads a zombie line dance that still thrills after all these years.
