When Lil Wayne dissed Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce on the controversial song 'It's Good,' many people, including us, thought that a rap feud would erupt between these two superstars. Alas, it appears that's not going to happen anytime soon.

When MTV spoke to the soon-to-be dad about Weezy's verbal taughts on the song, Hov seemed to not care about it, instead, he analogized rap beefs to athletic competition. "That's sport, that's rap music," he said. "Nothing is going to change but the participants. I don't even see why that's news."

Huh? Of course, this is news. With Wayne calling Jay-Z an old rapper in the latest issue of Vibe magazine we think Weezy's comments might, at least, bother him. We have to guess that Jigga has outgrown lyrical feuds for now.

For his part, Weezy predicted that he didn't expect to hear any repercussions for his lyrical jab at Hov and his family. "Every man should know the repercussions and consequences behind whatever they do before they do it," he said. "And of course, I know there won't be any repercussions behind what I did."

So, there you have it. No dissing contest between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. We can all rest easy now.
