The hip-hop community may love Jay-Z, but a community of renters are petrified of the rap mogul. Current and former residents of a luxury apartment building in Philadelphia are accusing Hov's legal team of constant harassment in efforts to kick them out of the premises, reports FoxNews.com.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the condominium complex located on 603 North American Street is owned by SCC North American Realty, LLC, which is partially owned by Shawn Carter (aka Jay-Z). It looks as if Jay-Z's realty company is trying to get the tenants to move out so they can raise the rent on the units.

Renters at the apartment complex are living in fear due to intimidation tactics allegedly being used by the realty company. "I'm scared of Jay-Z," said one tenant who wanted to remain anonymous for her own safety. "I've endured endless harassment from his team of lawyers, and I can't take it anymore. I don't know when this drama is going to end."

"The whole thing has been so unsettling,” former tenant Liza Tedeschi told FoxNews.com. “I’ve been in tears over this." Even though Tedeschi wasn't evicted from her condo, she decided to move out of the complex because the stress of living there had become a burden.

"They had process servers banging on my door, ringing my doorbell nonstop," she recalls. "The banging was very violent. This was happening on a daily basis for at least a week. They were yelling my name, and the names of my neighbors. I was very scared because I live alone, and it was very, very scary for me."

Jay-Z's attorney, the management company for the property and SCC North American Realty, LLC had no comment on the matter.
