Jessie J Nominated for 2012 NewNowNext Award

Congrats are in order for English pop princess Jessie J. The black-haired beauty has been nominated for a 2012 NewNowNext Award in the Brink-of-Fame: Music Artist category. Essentially, Jessie J is considered thisclose to superstardom in the pop culture realm and that's why she received this nomination.

We're going to have to agree that Jessie J is poised to break big over the next few months. Jessie is enjoying radio success on the back of her single 'Domino' (which sonically reminds us a bit of her fellow hair chameleon diva Katy Perry) and she will serve as a coach and mentor on the U.K. edition of "The Voice,' which will certainly raise her profile significantly in 2012.

In the Brink-of-Fame Music category, Jessie J is up against names like Azealia Banks, Childish Gambino, fun., Neon Hitch and Rebecca Ferguson. Despite some stiff competition, we think Ms. J certainly has a strong chance of notching the win, especially since fans voted her PopCrush's Best New Artist of 2011.

According to EW, Logo's fifth annual NewNowNext Awards are set to air on April 9 on the cable network. The show tapes on April 5 in Hollywood.
