John Mayer – Off the Grid Stars

Although rumors have surfaced that John Mayer and gal pal Katy Perry are house hunting in L.A., the bluesy rocker currently resides way off the beaten path near Bozeman, Mont. Mayer may truly be the most “off the grid” celebrity on our list, as he claims his estate is "in the middle of nowhere."

Why Montana? "The question 'Why Montana?' is the answer," he explained during an interview on 'Ellen.' Mayer said that during a road trip with friends, he ended up in Bozeman and out of the blue decided to call a real estate agent, who helped him find a home in the area.

"She showed me this one place, and I went, 'This is it.' Why not be happy after awhile? You get to a certain age where you prepare yourself for happiness. Sometimes you never remember to actually get happy. So I remembered how to get happy."
