Now this is some good news! Kanye West has signed veteran rhyme-slinger Q-Tip to his stellar G.O.O.D. Music label. Under the pact, Q-Tip will release his fourth solo album, tentatively titled 'The Last Zulu' on the label, which is being distributed by Def Jam.

Q-Tip, who is a member of the legendary rap group A Tribe Called Quest, was humble by the signing and is eager to bring good music to hip-hop heads. "I'm excited to be a part of the great iconic Def Jam label," Q-Tip said in a statement (via Vibe). "I'm humbled to be a part of such a storied history. To reconnect with Barry Weiss is a great thing. As far as G.O.O.D. Music, I'm excited to solidify my working relationship with Kanye, and I look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead in our partnership. I will do my best to present the most cutting-edge music I can."

Q-Tip and Kanye have been friends for several years and worked on many projects together. Most recently, Q-Tip co-produced 'Lift Off' and 'That's My B----' on Kanye and Jay-Z's collaborative album 'Watch the Throne.'

Q-Tip will join a label whose all-star roster includes Big Sean, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Cyhi da Prynce, John Legend, Mos Def and Mr. Hudson.

This is a good look for the label because Q-Tip can be a mentor to the other artists and bring creative ideas to the table with his exceptional production skills. Hopefully, we will hear the Native Tongue rapper on Kanye's upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, which is expected to hit stores in the summer.
