Another celebrity is baring all in a memoir. This time, it's former 'American Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi. E! reports that DioGuardi's book, 'A Helluva High Note' is due out April 26 and in it, the songwriter reveals that she was both molested as a child and date-raped by a well-known music producer in her life.

DioGuardi says she was repeatedly molested at the tender age of 11 by the son of a family friend who was in his late teens. "On one particular day, he took me into the back shed of his house and put his hands all over my breasts and vagina," she writes. "I remember freezing and not knowing what to do."

In 2000, as DioGuardi was gaining prominence as a songwriter, she was date-raped by a producer with whom she thought she was having a friendly dinner. "[W]ithin a few hours, he was on top of me, pumping, sweating, and speaking to me in Spanish, not a word of which I could understand," she writes. She didn't fight him off any further because she was afraid he'd become violent. That same fear resonated for DioGuardi, who never talked about the incident since she was scared it would derail or ruin her budding career.

DioGuardi also reveals the details of the time she was sexually harassed on a three-day songwriting trip by a "hugely successful artist." Working fell by the wayside for this artist in favor of watching Russian porn and strippers who performed sex acts in the living room.

DioGuardi triumphed, however, refusing to give up or give in. She continued to work with the artist because, she writes, "I wasn't gonna let this bastard deter me from doing the job." She did walk away eventually, after said artist forced her to touch his private parts.

The former 'Idol' judge said she realized her gig on the show was not secure after seeing the scores of web rumors last summer. She asked producers to let her out of her contract so she could focus on getting pregnant, since 18-hour days and live TV is not a recipe for doing so. She also admits that "I had undergone three unsuccessful rounds of IVF during Season 9."

DioGuardi's new Bravo series, 'Platinum Hit,' debuts at the end of May.
