Strangers Pay for 10-Year-Old to See Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour After Chemo Treatment
Ten-year-old Kennedy Coke is a major Swiftie. "All we do is talk about Taylor Swift," her mom says (quote via Your Tango).
She's like a lot of little girls in that way, but Kennedy is also a cancer patient, having been diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer when she was just 2 years old. She's been in and out of remission since then, but the family recently got unfortunate news.
Her issues stem from a genetic mutation that has unfortunately brought on another cancer: This time, a very aggressive form of uterine cancer.
Kennedy had to have a hysterectomy and is currently undergoing twelve weeks of chemo. Mom detailed her roller coaster health story in a TikTok video that explains how badly she wants to see Taylor Swift live in concert, with mom pleading for any help to get there.
Coincidentally, Swift's Eras Tour will be back in the United States when Kennedy finishes chemo treatment this fall.
Kennedy's mom also started a GoFund Me in hopes that she might be able to take her kiddo to see Swift at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis this November.
Strangers pulled through. To date, Kennedy's fund has brought in $16,000 in donations. Mom was so excited, she had to capture the moment she shared the news with her daughter on camera.
She's going to the Eras Tour! Watch the touching moment below:
Thanks to the kind hearts of strangers, Coke and her parents will fly to Indianapolis, stay in a hotel and see Swift live in concert.
