Lady Gaga was the toast of the fashion world by the time 2011 rolled around.

When she was feted by the CFDA, she showed up with a blunt-cut, turquoise bob and baby bangs that reminded us of a futuristic Bettie Page. We are actually surprised that Ma Monster hasn't tried her own, Gaga-fied update of Page's signature fringe... although maybe we just gave her an idea!

The bright color was part of incredibly bold features, including dramatic eyebrows and crimson-stained lips. Only someone as confident and daring as Gaga could pull this look off.
