Lauren Alaina showed the world she can soar with a cover of country singer Sara Evans' 2000 hit, 'Born to Fly,' on tonight's 'American Idol,' but was her wingspan big enough for the judges?

It's obvious that Alaina -- with her perky attitude, sweet smile, and amazing voice -- is a hands-down audience favorite, but following her performance the judges shared that they think she can do even more.

"Anybody who doesn't know that they can fail is bound to win," Steven Tyler told her. "You're that person. You're so good naturally, and you have a great swagger."

"It's not everybody that has so much color in their voice when they sing," Jennifer Lopez added. "These beautiful little things come out, and just so much character. It really, really is beautiful."

"When we first saw you, you were singing back and forth with Steven," Randy Jackson reminded the aspiring singer, referring to the audition that sent her to Hollywood. "You can sing anything! You can sing those big notes. Dude, you can do it! You must believe, I'm telling you. We said when we saw you the first time, 'I don't even think she knows how good she really is."

"But I want to stop saying that," Lopez said, interrupting him. "I want to say that's how good she is! Come on, give it to us!"

The judges couldn't stress enough how much the teen needs to challenge herself -- and her voice -- and when asked by Ryan Seacrest if she thought she could do it, even the shy 16-year-old admitted that she has what it takes to win the competition.
