With 'Glee' on hiatus until fall, the star of the show, Lea Michele, has got bigger things on her mind. Literally bigger -- movies.

E! Online reports that Michele has a hankerin' for the silver screen, and "wants to focus on movies and other acting roles." And she's not wasting any time. The 'Glee' famer will make her debut this December in 'New Year's Eve,' alongside Hollywood's most notable movie stars, including Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Jessica Biel and Zac Efron. Pretty sweet gig if you ask us!

So long as her new ventures don't take her away from the small screen and our favorite Tuesday night FOX show, we're cool with Rachel, err, Lea Michele, doing her own thing. Afterall, Chord Overstreet appeared on last night's CMT Awards alongside Taylor Swift and Shania Twain. Honestly, we love to see our 'Glee' friends pop up in unsuspecting places.

'New Year's Eve' opens in theaters everywhere on Dec. 9.
