Lindsay Lohan Loses Cocaine Defamation Lawsuit
In unsurprising news of the day, Lindsay Lohan ’s lawsuit against Fox News Channel -- in which she claimed comments made by a guest on Sean Hannity’s show about she and her mother doing cocaine together were false -- has been thrown out by a New York judge today (September 18).
According to TMZ, Lindsay and her mother Dina sued the news channel for comments made by a guest during a February 2014 broadcast about the pair's purported drug abuse and for referring to Dina as an enabler.
The site goes on to report that the judge overseeing the case dismissed Lindsay’s suit saying, “Truth is a defense.” Ouch.
Dina’s case has also been dismissed by the judge, who claimed the comment made about her during the broadcast was not malicious.
Certainly not helping Lindsay’s defense is that audio recording in which she allegedly tells her father, Michael Lohan, that Dina was on cocaine. Back in 2012, Lindsay made a phone call claiming her mother kidnapped her, saying, “Dad, she’s on cocaine. She’s like touching her neck and sh—t.”
Lindsay also says, on tape, "She's like the f---king devil right now."
According to the audio, she and Dina got into a fight over money — Lindsay said she gave her mother $40,000 to stop her house from being foreclosed. Once Lindsay asked for the money back, they started fighting. You can listen to that audio over on TMZ.
